A favorite trip among sports enthusiasts is a tour of baseball’s hotspots. Pick the ball parks of your choice and then enjoy the competition, camaraderie and of course, the hot dogs!

( Can't fit in a road trip? Plan for next year and meanwhile stream Brad Pitt's film Moneyball, which pays homage to the sport and is a favorite of serious baseball fans. )

No tour of baseball’s best would be complete without a visit to Cooperstown. The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum was established in 1939 to document and exhibit the vast history of our National Pastime and its impact on American culture.

The Hall of Fame traces baseball's evolution from a simple game played on rural pastures and urban sand lots to America’s favorite sport, and in the process, mirrors our nation’s change and development through the years.

Cooperstown is 200 miles northwest of NYC, about 4 hours by car.
